Excavator Clamps or Thumbs fitted to the dipper arm of any machine are designed to assist operators with the safe handling of demolition materials, forestry logs, branches or green waste, rocks or any other objects that are not easily handled with just a bucket. The versatility and ease of use that a clamp provides to an excavator operator is invaluable, increasing productivity and improving safety. Wedgelock has been manufacturing clamps since the late 1990s and there are two styles of clamp available.
Wedgelock PowerClamp
PowerClamp
The PowerClamp, which mounts and pivots on the main dipper pin, is extremely popular on larger machines. Specifically designed to suit both the coupler and the dig bucket kinematics, the wide body and robust construction makes material handling safe, simple and effective.

Wedgelock PowerThumb
PowerThumb
The PowerThumb, which pivots independently of the dipper pin, is more common on the smaller machines. The narrow body design allows the operator to trench with his machine, it has the same hydraulic cylinder as the PowerClamp and is slightly lighter in weight overall.
Both styles are manufactured from medium and high tensile materials and are very simple to install.
With the name Wedgelock on the side, you are guaranteed to be using the best product of its type in New Zealand.
